I learned that I can write long fic!! Last year I wrote my first 20k word fic and I thought it was a fluke, but this year I wrote my first 50k word fic. I also made friends with a professional author who made me realize that I might actually be able to write a novel some day (even if it never got published).
25. a fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read
okay so when I answered this same question on Tumblr I recommended of all the comrades that ‘ere I’ve had by @dustofwarfare-blog, which is a sad and sweet story set after the end of final fantasy xv in which the guys work on building Noctis's tomb, and I absolutely think that everyone who is into FFXV should read it.
But if I'm going to recommend a fic that people who aren't in the fandom should read, it's going to be one of ohmyfae's AUs. The question is, which one? They're all great! But I think maybe I'm gonna go for All that Remains because it's a great fic and I think it's self contained enough that you don't need to know the canon at all to enjoy it.
