23. fics you wanted to write but didn't

YEAH SO on tumblr I mentioned the girl!Noctis/Ravus arranged marriage epic but here I'm gonna talk about a different couple which are:
1) The Ardyn/Noct ritual sex arranged marriage AU! I actually started this one and was gonna write it with dustofwarfare but it didn't actually happen. The idea was that Noct is the king of light, which means he has to be ritually married to the immortal accursed, in order to ensure peace and daylight and keep the daemons away. Ardyn lives in a cave and hasn't been seen in centuries. Noct is brought up from birth to marry the accursed and trained in like, how to please his husband so that he can make sure to satisfy him so he won't come send the daemons and kill everyone.

Mostly it was an excuse to have a ceremonial wedding where Noct has to fast and then drink sex pollen and get carried in a parade down to a cave where he has to spend seven days and nights getting his brains fucked out by Ardyn and then they find out whether he succeeded at satisfying Ardyn or whether Ardyn killed him.

2) The Insomnia U college AU actual fic that I wanted that started the whole thing, which was Noct and Prompto moving in together into the third bedroom in Gladio and Ignis's apartment, and then slowly falling in love in a very adorable and sweet way. Instead I managed to write about Noct and Loqi getting it on after a party in a fuckbuddy relationship and about Noct catching Prompto jerking off with a bad dragon dildo. /shrug

it sounds super fucked-up and fascinating but somehow all I can think about is daemons manifesting as a sign of marital discord. like every myth about how this grouchy god living in a cave steals a glorious maiden and falls in love with her and then every time she gets pissed off at him the sky turns dark for Ten Years and there are Daemons because he's sulking

Dusty had put in a bunch of ideas about how like, every x many years when things get shitty Lucis sends an imposter fake king/queen of light in hopes that they can make ardyn happy but then he just kills them and leaves their bodies outside the cave???

Also there was an idea that the king of light is destined to take the place of the accursed, and like, Ardyn became the accursed and has been waiting all this time and--

It was also a soulmate AU

Noct and Ardyn were soulmates that's the whole thing it was such a mess of everything.

And actually now that I think about it not quite, I think Dusty and I were talking about a college AU and she started writing that one where Ardyn is the philosophy professor and Ravus is his PhD student and we spun it out from there?

please tell me it's the bodies Ardyn strung up in the throne room in the game

i want to say i also have a more valuable remark to contribute but i've forgotten it

well I HAD NOT THOUGHT OF THAT but man yeah that could definitely be a thing! except I think we had Luna as the priestess who presides over the ceremony to ask the gods' blessing for the wedding? idk it involved Noctis having ritual virginity but otherwise being super carefully trained in all sorts of sex acts, with just the one technical virginity requirement

okay but is Ardyn also a virgin or has he been slutting around in his cave for centuries
